About The Position

Off Duty Management (ODM) partners with agencies across the country to provide innovative off-duty employment management services that protect officers and support public safety. We are seeking a Business Development Manager who brings leadership experience, a trusted reputation in the law enforcement community, and the drive to connect agencies with solutions that truly make a difference. This role is ideal for retired Law Enforcement Leaders who want to stay active in the profession, leverage their network, and apply their experience to a new challenge. Why This Role? Requirements

  • A respected background in law enforcement, in a leadership capacity. Alternatively, a proven track record of customer acquisition and business development in the Law Enforcement domain.
  • A natural relationship-builder who enjoys networking, connecting, and engaging with peers.
  • Driven, goal-oriented, and motivated by activity-based results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – comfortable presenting to senior leaders.
  • Flexible and adaptable – able to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for conferences, meetings, and events.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred, not required).
  • 5+ years of law enforcement leadership experience preferred, or 5+ years of demonstrable success at securing business relationships with command-level personnel in LE agencies.
  • Previous business development, relationship management, or technical sales experience (preferred).
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, CRM tools, and mobility products.

Responsibilities

  • Represent ODM to law enforcement agencies and professional associations nationwide.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with Chiefs, Sheriffs, and other command staff.
  • Develop new business opportunities by engaging with your professional network and expanding into new territories.
  • Attend and represent ODM at law enforcement conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Present solutions that address real challenges facing agencies today.
  • Partner with the Chief Partnership Officer and Directors to drive growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term relationships.
