About Subsense Subsense is a deep-tech company developing the world’s first non-surgical, bidirectional brain-computer interface powered by plasmonic and magnetoelectric nanoparticles. The Opportunity The Business Development Manager will drive the growth of our company by identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and later expanding our market presence. Sourcing specific clients and partners (clinics, pharma), leading negotiations, and closing LOIs to translate strategy into real contracts and market traction. His efforts will be key in establishing our company as a leader in the medtech industry. We are pre-product. You will be expected to secure LOIs, pilots, and partnerships before a finished product exists. This role requires selling vision, not product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience sourcing and managing target accounts (clinics, biopharma, research institutions) through direct outreach
  • Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and close LOIs and pilot agreements
  • Hands-on experience executing partnerships from first contact to signed agreement in early-stage or fast-paced environments
  • Strong network of contacts within the medtech or healthcare sectors.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • High level of motivation, ambition, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and create outcomes from zero (no structure, no product, no brand)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the medtech and healthcare sectors, and source and manage target accounts: clinics, biopharma, research institutions
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential buyers, clients, partners, and competitors
  • Prepare and present proposals, business plans, and partnership agreements to prospective clients and partners
  • Lead negotiations and close LOIs and pilot agreements
  • Drive execution of partnerships from first contact to signed agreements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and business & operations, to align business development activities with overall business goals
