About The Position

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to support the growth and expansion of the firm. This role is heavily focused on maintaining and growing existing client relationships, while also supporting and pursuing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, attending industry events, and serving as a consistent point of contact for clients. This role plays a critical part in executing business development initiatives, supporting pursuits, and ensuring continuity and follow-through across client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles
  • Prior industry knowledge and familiarity with professional services, construction, engineering, architecture, or real estate-related industries preferred
  • Existing industry relationships are a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with CRM platforms and proposal processes
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Support and grow relationships with existing clients to drive repeat work and long-term partnerships
  • Assist in identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new client opportunities in alignment with firm growth goals
  • Represent the firm at industry events, networking functions, charity outings, and professional gatherings
  • Track, support, and respond to RFQs, RFPs, and procurement opportunities in collaboration with the Director of Business Development and the Marketing and Proposals Teams
  • Assist in preparing and delivering client-facing presentations and interviews, with support from Principals, Project Executives, and Marketing
  • Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with accurate lead, contact, and pursuit information
  • Support strategic business development initiatives through market research, account tracking, and competitive analysis
  • Coordinate client follow-ups, meeting notes, and next steps to ensure momentum across pursuits and active accounts
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, consistently and professionally representing the firm in the marketplace
