About The Position

Prototek is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth across the Southeast. This role is responsible for winning new business, expanding key accounts, and building long-term customer relationships in precision manufacturing markets. This is a role for a true hunter—someone who brings established industry relationships, understands how to navigate engineering-driven organizations, and can convert opportunities into long-term customers.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of B2B technical or manufacturing sales experience
  • Proven track record of generating and closing new business
  • Established network and relationships within target industries
  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to open doors and win work
  • Experience managing complex, relationship-driven sales cycles
  • Willingness to travel 50%+
  • Must meet ITAR U.S. Person requirements – Prototek maintains International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliant operations in United States based facilities. This position is subject to ITAR which requires U.S. Person status. ITAR defines U.S. Person as U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow the Southeast territory through new and existing customer development
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
  • Build trusted relationships across engineering, sourcing, and leadership teams
  • Expand share of wallet within strategic accounts
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts in Salesforce
