About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is hiring a Walmart Business Development Manager to be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic relationships with Walmart operators in the West, focusing on both short-term and long-term programs that drive sales growth, product volume, and increased market share. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of the company’s full product portfolio and promotional services, enabling effective representation to Walmart.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of prior industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Walmart operations, business and management structure.
  • P&L background/experience with knowledge of financial systems and general reporting/ administrative concepts.
  • Self-motivation in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills with basic to moderate knowledge of category channel sales, programs and business concepts.
  • Proven ability to develop partnerships within various business disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and proactively manage those relationships.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment.
  • Project Management: experience leading multiple-stage projects from concept to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and executes the approved sales strategies for Walmart as outlined by management with a common goal to accelerate sales and meet the customers’ expectations.
  • Effectively communicates and promotes initiatives to maximize sales potential and profitability for internal and external partners.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel within assigned accounts maintaining a high level of customer service and brand loyalty.
  • Frequently meets with internal and external stake holders to communicate initiatives ensuring program execution, cross-selling opportunities, and integrity of promotional strategies.
  • Confirms compliance with promotion execution. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates accounts needs and makes recommendations to Senior Management for lapses in program compliance and strategy.
  • Tracks, maintains and reports accurate analysis of business results within assigned accounts including, but not limited to, account performance, new business development, market trends and activities, and sales predictions.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet performance objectives.
  • Drives adoption of company programs and promotions.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. Provides appropriate feedback to Sales Management and makes recommendations.
  • In conjunction with management, proactively drives planning process to develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones associated with assigned accounts.
