About The Position

We are looking for a Business Development Manager with deep connections in the robotics ecosystem—particularly with robotics companies, model trainers, and AI research buyers. This role will be based in San Francisco, where you will be at the center of the world’s robotics and AI innovation. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing strategic partnerships with robotics companies and model training teams, ensuring Monitize AI becomes their go-to partner for high-quality robotics data.

Requirements

  • Strong existing relationships with robotics startups, AI labs, and model training teams.
  • 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or sales in robotics, AI, or deep tech.
  • Track record of negotiating and closing six-figure+ partnerships or licensing deals.
  • Familiarity with robotics, AI training workflows, or synthetic/real-world data pipelines.
  • Based in San Francisco (or willing to relocate), with frequent presence at industry hubs and events.

Responsibilities

  • Source and qualify new business opportunities with robotics companies, AI labs, and model training teams.
  • Leverage your existing network to open doors with key decision-makers (heads of robotics, AI research leads, training pipeline managers).
  • Identify verticals within robotics (humanoids, industrial robots, service robots, logistics automation, etc.) where Monitize AI’s data solutions are critical.
  • Negotiate partnerships, licensing agreements, and long-term contracts for data provision.
  • Act as the voice of the customer—share insights from robotics buyers with Monitize AI’s product and data teams.
  • Represent Monitize AI at conferences, demo days, and industry events in the Bay Area and globally.
