ECS's Environmental team is seeking a Business Development Manager to support the pursuit of large-scale remediation projects. The role involves working directly with the Director of Environmental Services, Principals, engineering staff, and both current and prospective clients to implement business development strategies. The Business Development Manager will prepare and develop technical proposals and cost estimates under the direction of technical staff, coordinate with the Marketing Department to track and prepare RFP proposal responses, and review local office proposal activity to identify cross-selling opportunities. Additionally, the manager will attend industry associations, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients, maintain and update project sheets, resumes, and client databases, and review project specifications to prepare preliminary cost estimates for remediation systems, treatment design, tank removal, and other ECS remediation services. Collaboration with project managers and technical staff is essential to ensure estimates reflect accurate scope and approach, and the manager will support the development of pricing strategies that align with project requirements. Monitoring bid sites and market intelligence for remediation opportunities, as well as coordinating internally with service line leaders and project managers to qualify and prioritize pursuits, are also key responsibilities. Finally, the manager will assist in maintaining client and project databases for business development tracking.
