About The Position

Greystone Construction is a client-focused general contractor offering design-build and general construction services to the commercial, industrial, and agribusiness industries. Founded in 1987, Greystone has Midwest roots and a national reach. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for promotion and sales of all Greystone Construction Company’s capabilities, primarily focusing on sales within identified market niches and assigned geographic territory. The BDM will promote Greystone’s services such as design/build, general construction, and project management, with an emphasis on fabric building and pre-engineered metal buildings projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in sales, preferably with a General Contractor or building manufacturer.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time throughout the West and Pacific Northwest states.
  • Ability to attend meetings, conferences/tradeshows, and networking events after hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Results-oriented with proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong ability to coach, mentor, and direct others; demonstrated skills in managing people and projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing network of established relationships with prospective clients in salt and sand, industrial or commercial construction markets.

Responsibilities

  • Target, qualify, and secure new business throughout the West and Pacific Northwest states.
  • Perform market research to define target companies and identify decision makers.
  • Develop industry-specific market plans with management, including establishing marketing and travel budgets.
  • Set and maintain quarterly and yearly sales goals, reviewing them with management.
  • Promote the company through involvement in community and civic organizations to expand the network.
  • Attend trade and networking functions to increase visibility, build relationships, and generate leads.
  • Work with VP Business Development & Marketing Director to create and manage market-specific content.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with VP Business Development to discuss current pipeline and future marketing efforts.
  • Track and update pipeline reports utilizing Salesforce on a daily basis.
  • Work with estimating/project management team to ensure accurate and timely estimates and proposals.
  • Establish and maintain solid working relationships with industry partners.
