About The Position

HB NEXT is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager focused on generating new business for our On-Site Safety Staffing services. This is a hunter role designed for a sales professional who thrives on outbound prospecting, opening new accounts, and building relationships across the construction and industrial markets. The ideal candidate is energized by creating opportunities from scratch, engaging decision makers at general contractors, trade contractors, developers, and industrial operators, and positioning HB NEXT’s tech-enabled safety staffing model as a differentiated solution. This role will be responsible for developing new client relationships, building pipeline, and closing new safety staffing engagements across targeted markets including data centers, large commercial construction, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects. This is a high-visibility growth role with significant upside for top performers. Requirements

  • Highly proactive and comfortable with cold outreach and prospecting
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to engage senior decision makers in construction and industrial markets
  • Self-motivated with strong pipeline discipline
  • Competitive mindset and results orientation
  • 3–7+ years of B2B sales experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into construction, industrial, or infrastructure sectors preferred
  • Familiarity with staffing services, safety consulting, or compliance services is a plus
  • Experience with project-based sales cycles and multi-stakeholder deals
  • Strong understanding of construction project environments is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Generate new opportunities through cold outreach, networking, project bids, and strategic prospecting
  • Identify construction projects and industrial operations that require on-site safety professionals
  • Conduct high-volume outbound activity including calls, email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and in-person visits
  • Build relationships with GC project executives, safety directors, operations leaders, and trade contractors
  • Target companies preparing for large projects that require safety managers, safety coordinators, and full-time safety representatives
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified staffing opportunities
  • Track all activity and opportunities in HubSpot CRM
  • Provide accurate pipeline forecasting and revenue projections
  • Coordinate with internal recruiting and operations teams to match qualified safety professionals to client needs
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand project safety needs and compliance requirements
  • Present HB NEXT’s Safety Staffing + Sequence XT software platform as a unique value proposition
  • Develop proposals and staffing solutions aligned with project scope and duration
  • Close new staffing engagements and transition accounts to operations for execution
  • Identify new geographic markets and project opportunities
  • Monitor industry activity including construction starts, project announcements, and regulatory activity
  • Attend industry events, trade association meetings, and client job sites to generate leads
