Requirements

  • Minimum of three years in a similar role, with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Positive under all circumstances and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to make decisions and establish the sales department's strategy for the region where the company operates.
  • Knowledge and commercial contacts in the Weddings & Romance, B2B, and Leisure segments.
  • Customer-oriented and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Sales Force tools.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English; other languages are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Define and design, together with the Head of Sales & Marketing for Romance, the global international market strategy for the Travel Agency segments specializing in weddings and Wedding Planners at the corporate level.
  • Ensure the implementation and execution of the segment's commercial strategy.
  • Plan projects and initiatives, and define priorities related to the segment.
  • Consolidate and coordinate a calendar of strategic campaigns and industry events.
  • Manage direct relationships with important groups and/or associations.
  • Attend tourism fairs related to the romance industry, as well as segment-specific fairs.
  • Define sales objectives for the business segment/source.
  • Monitor the sales objectives established by the company for the business source/segment and define and implement the action plans necessary to achieve the objectives defined for that segment.
  • Prepare and monitor the expense budget that supports the achievement of the objectives established for the business sources/segments.
  • Attend trade events.
  • Negotiate, contract, and coordinate trade fairs/workshops.
  • Negotiate on behalf of all hotels.
  • Coordinate participation with all interested hotels.
  • Provide the contracted stand with MHI's signature materials and look and feel.
  • Develop billing details for the stand and the contracted marketing requirements.
