About The Position

As the Business Development Manager on the retail field team, this role is pivotal in driving sales results within the residential construction sector, specifically focusing on expanding The Home Depot Pro business. The manager will be responsible for cultivating relationships with outside sales teams at HD Supply and SRS, and collaborating with the Home Depot Home Services division. This position requires a dynamic leader capable of engaging with industry experts, attending trade shows, and monitoring competitor activities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key strategic accounts
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, PowerBi, and Showpad
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and maintain fiscal responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic go-to-market plan for partnerships with HD Supply and SRS.
  • Collaborate with the Home Depot Home Services team to position DEWALT as the preferred partner through a targeted go-to-market strategy.
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential key accounts within HD Supply and SRS using data-driven analysis to drive growth and enhance market presence.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
  • Engage with industry experts, attend relevant trade shows, and monitor competitor activities to refine targeting strategies.
  • Design and implement customized programs aimed at converting national accounts by leveraging initiatives like Impact Rewards, Trade In Trade Up, and Extended Warranty.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of each account's specific needs and challenges to develop targeted solutions that resonate with their business objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to account representatives to facilitate smooth adoption and utilization of these programs, ultimately driving increased engagement and long-term loyalty.
  • Utilize the expertise of the National Residential PRO team as necessary to maintain and strengthen the ongoing relationships with key national accounts.
  • Coordinate consistent communication, addressing any concerns or needs, and fostering long-term partnerships that align with the strategic goals of both parties.
  • Cultivate and sustain direct relationships with the top 20-30 national accounts within the residential and home service market.
  • Engage regularly with key decision-makers, understanding their unique needs and challenges, and provide tailored solutions to enhance their business operations.
  • Establish a strategic partnership with national associations by leveraging our key retailers, Lowe's and The Home Depot.
  • Implement targeted promotions and other programs through these national associations to boost sales through the retailers.
