We're a global leader in providing energy solutions that help businesses grow, and communities thrive. We work as a team, and we're proud of the difference we make to customers, to local communities, and towards a sustainable future for the world. We are hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM)- someone who is a technical sales engineer targeting decision-makers and leaders at their downstream facilities. The ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of how plants and refineries operate, engage in technical discussions with process engineers, operations managers, and maintenance leaders, and provide high-return-on-investment (ROI) applications swiftly. The right candidate for the APS BDM position in the region will possess a 'hunter' mindset, a thorough understanding of plants and refineries, and experience selling within this specific sector and market. This market comprises thousands of plants and refineries, and the BDM will collaborate with local sales representatives to drive business growth.

  • Collaborate with Aggreko Process Services (APS) engineers to deliver customized solutions tailored to the needs of refinery and petrochemical customers.
  • Directly sell through discovering pain points, downstream knowledge, technical application, and product application.
  • Deliver effective presentations to engineers, operations, maintenance, and site leadership on Aggreko Process Services' value proposition.
  • Identify and develop optimal revenue models, sales and distribution channels, and price determination strategies.
  • Support new product development initiatives to prioritize and inform return-on-investment decision-making.
  • Promote and track sales growth by managing the APS Salesforce opportunity pipeline and activities every week.
  • 10+ years of direct business-to-business technical sales experience, preferably selling products or renting equipment to refineries and petrochemical plants.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering or relevant experience in the refinery and petrochemical industry.
  • Experience working for, partnering with, or serving production/operations and process engineering teams in the midstream and downstream oil & gas sector.
  • Knowledge of refinery and plant process units and economic drivers.
  • Basic experience with interpreting engineering documentation, e.g., P&IDs, PFDs, datasheets, etc.
  • Ability to work closely with client personnel - engineers, operations, and maintenance staff - to develop and execute engineered solution scope.
  • Ability to work across disciplines within an organization, e.g., Operations, Fleet, Logistics, etc.
  • Work from home or in a local service center.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Quarterly bonus structure.
  • Monthly car allowance.
  • No premium cost medical plan option is available.
  • Paid training programs and tuition reimbursement.
  • Sales career growth potential in expertise, leadership, and across territories.
  • Safety-focused culture.
