The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in closing accounts within their assigned book of business to achieve revenue and profitability growth aligned with strategic goals. Reporting to the Regional Manager of Sales, this position involves identifying, developing, and managing relationships at all levels within assigned and new accounts. The Business Development Manager acts as a liaison between the dealer and TrueCar, understanding dealer needs and educating them on TrueCar products as solutions. This role requires strong coordination with cross-functional teams, including dealer performance, dealer operations, and dealer training teams. While this is a remote position, the ideal candidate will reside in the greater Nashville, TN area. In this role, you will identify, develop, manage, and close new business opportunities, ensuring alignment across functions and organizations. You will establish and maintain strong relationships with dealer senior leaders and decision-makers, meet or exceed sales goals, and independently grow your assigned book of business. You will prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms with dealers, and support dealer escalations with all involved functional areas to ensure success. Additionally, you will serve as a liaison for product implementation and continuous product management, learn about new products, and support a team environment anchored on sales goals. Reporting and recording all sales activity within Salesforce is essential, as is contributing to a culture of high-quality service and open communication.
