About The Position

The Business Development Manager at The Mather Group, LLC (TMG) is a pivotal role designed to drive growth by establishing and nurturing relationships with high-net-worth individuals. This position is not just about sales; it requires a profound understanding of TMG's unique value proposition, which emphasizes that clients do not just receive one advisor, but the collective expertise of the entire TMG team. The role is critical in expanding TMG's client base and fostering organic growth through the acquisition of new clients. In this position, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities by engaging with prospective clients throughout the San Francisco market. This includes preparing and leading meetings with high-net-worth referrals and introducing TMG's comprehensive retirement planning process, which encompasses financial, tax, and estate planning. The manager will also manage new client opportunities through the sales lifecycle using Salesforce, ensuring that all interactions are meaningful and informative. A key aspect of this role is to actively communicate with prospective clients, providing them with guidance on various financial matters such as cash flows, tax planning strategies, estate and insurance needs, investment goals, and retirement planning. Additionally, the Business Development Manager will play a mentoring role, providing coaching and development opportunities for TMG's Client Associate team. This position also involves providing sales support to TMG's Wealth Advisors to help secure new client referrals and continuously reinforcing TMG's value proposition with prospective clients. Participation in professional development and knowledge-sharing opportunities offered by TMG is also expected, ensuring that the manager remains at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
