Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Business Development Manager, Digital and Creative Works. The Business Development manager resides within NYU Langone Healths Technology Opportunities & Ventures (TOV) unit, which oversees the protection, management, and commercialization of the institutions intellectual property. This position is specifically focused on the commercialization of non-patentable intellectual property, including creative, digital, and brand-related assets, with occasional case assignments that may involve patents as part of a larger portfolio of work. Examples of such assets include, but are not limited to, software, curricula, clinical outcome assessments, educational technologies, digital media, data, and traditional creative works in which the university has ownership rights. Manages activities related to the disclosure and protection of new innovations and the transfer of technology from the Medical Center and the University to the marketplace. This includes assessing the commercial potential of new innovation disclosures from faculty, identifying potential commercial partners, marketing technologies to companies negotiating research and license agreements, and promoting the creation of start-up companies based on NYU technologies.
