About The Position

The Business Development Manager (Central America) for our CCA (Caribbean Central America) Organization acts as internal support to the vendor business lead to drive profitable market share growth through business planning execution, pipeline management and deep sales floor and customer enablement and engagement. Develops and maintains the business relationship by providing solutions for defined account(s) in a product line, to achieve the identified strategy and business financial objectives.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or vendor management, preferably in the IT or technology distribution industry
  • Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Compass) and sales reporting tools
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred
  • Familiarity with IT products, services, and solutions (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience working with digital sales tools and e-commerce platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Engages with the Business Unit and/or General sales floor, running desk training, tool training and driving product mind share
  • Support development of strategies and ideas to assist business growth
  • Ownership for building an accurate and detailed pipeline of deals within the Company's CRM system
  • Weekly reporting to the vendor on sell-out activity, tracking performance of promotional activities and the deal pipeline
  • Support execution of business plans as required by the business development manager
  • Support execution of marketing plans as required by the Marketing Manager
  • Identify training opportunities within customers and internal sales teams and address accordingly
  • The point of escalation for customer care issues
  • Provide direction for the development and maintenance of web tools such as InTouch, Licensing Online (LOL) as well as vendor micro-sites and online configurators
  • Communicate product information, pricing, special offers and promotions to customers and the internal sales teams
  • Run call out days on the sales floor and/or the Business Unit sales teams
  • Engage directly with customers depending on role requirements
  • Performs other additional duties as assigned
