About The Position

The position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and servicing a designated portfolio of travel agency accounts within an assigned territory. The role involves maintaining and further developing travel agency relationships, designing and implementing marketing and promotional programs to achieve sales objectives, and representing the company as a brand ambassador. The individual will develop marketing plans and strategies to stimulate agency revenue growth targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of sales or account management experience, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced skills with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of current and developing Social Media platforms.
  • Ability to build personal credibility through solid product knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of working directly with agency owners and travel advisors.
  • Proven ability to implement contracts using superior negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a quickly changing sales environment.
  • Analytical skills sufficient to translate revenue results and manage budget and forecasting.
  • Effective time management skills to work independently and meet sales goals.
  • Ability to travel within regional territory, nationally and internationally.

  • Knowledge of Norwegian reservation systems such as Seaware and Seaweb.

Responsibilities

  • Research and continually source for new revenue opportunities and methods within assigned accounts to achieve sales goals.
  • Retain and manage business relationships for each travel agency and develop a personalized approach to maximize agencies' profits.
  • Create and execute marketing ideas and sales strategies to actively participate in travel agency growth.
  • Service travel agency needs via problem resolution utilizing knowledge of company products and support from sales teams.
  • Develop a plan to remain accessible to travel partners and maintain open communication channels.
  • Plan, create and implement an annual territory sales and marketing plan for top producing accounts.
  • Utilize existing data and reports to develop strategic and tactical plans for achieving territory revenue goals.
  • Develop a pre/post sales call strategy and make productive sales contacts daily.
  • Create and execute promotional programs and provide promotional materials to travel agents.
  • Manage budget within guidelines and review total budget at the end of each month.
  • Negotiate sales plans and group contracts.
  • Analyze and track accounts' sales and marketing plans and ROI.
  • Conduct seminars, webinars, familiarization cruises, and training events as needed.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to maintain updated account status.
  • Represent the company providing excellent service and professional communication.
