About The Position

Forms+Surfaces is a leading designer and manufacturer of a wide range of architectural products used in public spaces around the globe. Our growing brand is known for its breadth of product lines, including surface materials, elevator interiors, doors and hardware, information displays, wall systems, columns, railing, and outdoor site furniture. We are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated Architectural Sales professional for the position of Business Development Manager, Austin/San Antonio, Texas Region, with a focus on our Architectural Products/Surfaces. This position will allow you to work in an established territory and partner with an experienced Business Development Manager for added support and guidance.

Requirements

• Strong, experience-based understanding of the A&D community.
• Proven success working with architects, contractors, designers, landscape architects, facility owners, and other specifiers.
• In-depth knowledge of specifiers' needs and the ability to offer creative solutions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in a technical Architectural or related role before transitioning into sales.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate Architect/Landscape Architect/Designer (or related).
• Strong contacts in the local A&D community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, designers, landscape architects, facility owners, and other specifiers.
• Craft technical, 'substitution-proof' specifications and follow them throughout the bidding and ordering cycle.
• Understand specifiers' needs, requirements, and concerns, and offer creative solutions to their challenges.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize CRM software and other technologies effectively.
• Collaborate with team members across Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Design to achieve common goals.
