About The Position

The Summer (June - August) Business Development - Lifestyle Intern will be trained in the nuts and bolts of the brand licensing business. You'll be mentored by experienced internal leaders who will advise and help you succeed and develop exceptional business acumen. You will be trained and assist in generating new business by identifying and qualifying leads to join Authentic's global network of licensing partners in the wholesale, retail, and online marketplace sectors. From identifying target licensing partners and executing top-notch qualification tactics, you will gain 360-degree knowledge of expanding Authentic's partnership universe.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled university student.
  • Able to work up to 20 hours per week
  • Able to work onsite in our NYC office
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty and make things happen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortability in a high-paced, collaborative environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Process-driven and constantly looking for ways to streamline and simplify complex tasks

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation & ideate new verticals/categories: Extensive outreach on under-penetrated areas
  • Benchmarking - Create benchmarking document to compare potential opportunities against licensed category
  • Internal Partner Category List - list to capture existing partner’s growth goals
  • Lead generation & ideate new verticals/categories: Extensive outreach on under-penetrated areas
  • Effectively use a CRM: salesforce entries, maintain teams google docs/trackers
  • Liaise between BD & brand teams, coordinate meetings & requests, manage priorities
  • Assist team in contract negotiations with issues lists, comps, term sheets, CS&EA's
  • Issues Lists: how to summarize redlines
  • Comps: help team make informed decisions with counterproposals
  • Term Sheets/CSEAs: familiarize self with licensing agreements
  • Learn successful pitching by listening in on team's meetings
  • Learn the lifecycle of a deal from outreach to full execution
