About The Position

Algorand’s high-performance blockchain is optimized for institutional-grade finance and the next generation of decentralized economies. With a strong focus on tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and DeFi composability, we are building the infrastructure to power the global onchain financial system. We are seeking a Business Development Lead to drive Algorand’s tokenization strategy across global financial markets. This person will be responsible for securing deep partnerships with asset owners, fund managers, and tokenization platforms, while supporting the integration of tokenized assets into Algorand’s DeFi ecosystem. This role is ideal for a well-connected, execution-oriented professional who can translate complex financial and technical ideas into commercial partnerships. You’ll help shape Algorand’s global presence in tokenized finance, deepen institutional engagement, and drive adoption of RWAs as composable assets in DeFi. Your network, market instincts, & go-getter mentality will directly influence how billions of dollars in real-world value move onchain.

Requirements

7+ years’ experience in business development, investment management, structured products, or capital markets, ideally in a front-office or client-facing role.
Based in or with strong professional ties to a major global financial hub (New York, London, Dubai, or equivalent).
Deep professional network across financial institutions, asset managers, tokenization providers, or institutional investors.
Strong grasp of financial instruments (money market funds, Treasuries, private credit, structured yield products) and how they are being adapted for blockchain environments.
Solid understanding of blockchain and DeFi mechanics, including RWAs as collateral, yield primitives, and cross-chain liquidity.
Proven track record of originating and closing high-value partnerships.

Nice To Haves

Experience with tokenization platforms or digital securities issuers (e.g., Centrifuge, Archax).
Familiarity with cross-chain and compliance infrastructure (e.g. Wormhole)
Background in institutional sales, structured finance, or venture partnerships in fintech or digital assets.

Responsibilities

Identify, structure, and close strategic partnerships with asset managers, tokenization platforms, and custodians to bring tokenized products on Algorand (e.g., Treasuries, private credit, institutional funds, real estate, and commodities).
Cultivate partnerships with regulated tokenization providers in key jurisdictions (U.S., EU, UK, UAE) to expand issuance capabilities and cross-border distribution.
Engage directly with financial institutions, family offices, and corporate treasuries to drive adoption of tokenized yield products and onchain capital markets on Algorand.
Collaborate with DeFi protocols (e.g., Folks Finance, Tinyman, Pact) and infrastructure partners to ensure composability and liquidity of tokenized assets across Algorand’s ecosystem
Leverage an existing professional network to open doors with institutional allocators, fintech innovators, and blockchain-native funds.
Represent Algorand at high-impact industry events and conferences, positioning the Foundation as a credible and forward-looking leader in tokenized finance.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with financial regulators, custodians, and RWA infrastructure providers to stay ahead of market developments.
Oversee the full lifecycle of partnerships, from deal close through integration, delivery, and long-term growth.
Work closely with technical and product teams to support integration efforts, ensuring compliance with institutional standards (e.g., KYC, Identity, ERC-3643 equivalent frameworks).
Serve as the internal connector, aligning priorities, tracking progress, and removing obstacles to keep initiatives on schedule, whilst maintaining strong partner relationships through consistent communication.
Partner with Head of DeFi to assist in structuring liquidity programs and co-incentives to strengthen RWA adoption and trading activity.
