Otis Worldwide is seeking a motivated and analytical undergraduate student to join our Global Business Development team as a Summer Intern to support strategic initiatives that drive growth and market expansion. This internship offers hands-on experience in market research, competitive analysis, and supporting strategy development within a global leader in vertical transportation. This internship opportunity offers a hybrid model, requiring 2-3 days per week at our NYC branch office (1 Penn Plaza) and the remaining days working remotely. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to real-world M&A and financial modeling as well as exposure to business development processes while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals in a global Fortune 500 company!

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Requires someone who is proactive and a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity as the tasks will relate to business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities across target markets and customer segments.
  • Assist with market research and analyze industry trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the development of business cases and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Track and summarize ongoing deal activity, pipeline status, and post-merger integration efforts.
  • Collaborate with the global Business Development team in EMEA, APAC, Americas, and China on various tasks and assignments.
  • Participate in special projects (i.e., standardizing processes, process improvement).
  • Help prepare presentations and reports for a diverse group of stakeholders.
