How You’ll Make this Internship Opportunity Your Own Our IHS Business Development intern plays an integral part in government business development, capture and proposal development activities. As a Business Development intern, you will conduct market research and assist with the completion of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), white papers, and various ad hoc requests. Our IHS Growth Summer Internship will focus on supporting the Growth process critical to pursuing and winning new business. Interns may help Capture Managers (CMs) develop and implement effective win strategies, perform customer and competitor analysis, develop and document winning solutions, and craft highly competitive proposals. Other duties will include helping CMs update and maintain relevant Sales Force information, help with Account Planning, and help organize and maintain the IHS Growth Homepage. This internship requires a nimble mindset, clear communication style and interest in Business Development, Marketing and Capture Management. A Day in the Life Familiarize yourself with the company's vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives. Familiarize yourself with the eBDP Guide that details the process GDIT uses to identify, assess, pursue and win new business. Perform business intelligence/competitive intelligence research using government websites and our Salesforce database. Collate and maintain customer information. Work with stakeholders to understand what insights are needed to support their business goals. Under the mentorship and direction of assigned Capture Managers, you will perform a variety of capture related activities and actions to include capture plan documentation, participation in key workshops and reviews, and development of decision gate presentations.
