Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree-seeking program.
  • Pursuing a major in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Keen interest of the federal contracting process or strong interest in learning government business development.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to support the development of reports, briefings, and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative, organization, and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication.
  • Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or internship experience related to federal procurement, government contracting, business development, or marketing.
  • Familiarity and desire to learn the government proposal lifecycle, including RFIs and RFPs.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to supporting growth initiatives.
  • Interest in competitive analysis, market research, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience supporting research, capture activities, or strategic planning efforts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • The Business Development Intern collaborates with Business Developers, Capture Managers, program managers, and organizational leaders to support win strategies through market research and teaming support.
  • Supports business planning activities by helping schedule, coordinate, and prepare materials for pipeline reviews, gate reviews, and recurring BD reports.
  • Works alongside the BD & capture team to track opportunities through the pipeline and contribute to proposal development efforts for the HCM Market.
  • Conducts research and analysis related to teaming, scope definition, and competitive intelligence.
  • Assis with the development of marketing materials, capability statements, and white papers.
  • Enters and maintains opportunity data in the CRM and provides support for system-related tasks as needed.
