The Business Development Graphic Designer is a member of the firm's Marketing & Business Development Department and is responsible for producing polished, on-brand materials that support client pitches, proposals, presentations, and other business development needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, a creative mindset, and the ability to adapt and introduce new ideas to enhance design and presentation quality. The Graphic Designer must consistently deliver high-quality, customized materials that accurately reflect each client's business and industry, ensuring the firm is always presented in a professional and visually consistent manner.

Requirements

  • The Business Development Graphic Designer should have a degree or certification in graphic design or a related field, or comparable training gained through additional work experience.
  • Five to seven years of related experience is required.
  • The Business Development Graphic Designer requires a strong understanding of branding and its components to ensure brand consistency, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and rapid versioning while producing high-quality, accurate, brand-consistent work under compressed timelines.
  • The Business Development Graphic Designer must be able to manage projects and meet deadlines across U.S. time zones, work collaboratively and iteratively with team members, and effectively self-manage workflows while communicating progress and flagging issues early.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Premiere), Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Pro, and Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint) are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in designing for professional services-such as legal, consulting, financial, or similar industries-is highly desirable, especially with client-facing pitch and proposal materials.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced design tools-such as Adobe Firefly and AI features in PowerPoint, Canva, and Figma-to streamline tasks and accelerate versioning is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of content management and e-communication platforms, including Vuture, WordPress, or custom CMS, as well as familiarity with ShareFile, is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, customizes, edits, and produces proposals, pitch presentations, and other client-facing materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistent alignment with firm branding and design standards.
  • Works closely with Business Development Team members to tailor materials to each client's business and industry and to shape the visual approach that supports high-quality pitch and proposal responses.
  • Helps infuse brand identity in RFP submissions by integrating visual elements within required formats.
  • Designs materials for business development trainings, events, and internal initiatives, adapting existing templates or developing new layouts as needed.
  • Maintains, updates, and organizes graphic files, templates, archived materials, and other collateral to ensure ease of access and consistency across projects.
  • Coordinates with proofing teams to uphold brand voice, accuracy, and consistency in all creative output, and is responsible for accuracy in final products.
  • Formats, edits, and enhances photos, images, charts, and other visual elements.
  • Helps to maintain the firm's image libraries.
  • Supports the preparation of printed materials, such as sourcing specialty paper, folders or packaging for in-person business development meetings.
  • Coordinates with external vendors for outsourced printing and production, ensuring deadlines, quality expectations, and budgets are met.
  • Helps to develop and maintain templates, style guides, and specifications to promote consistency across materials and increase team efficiency.
  • Proactivity stays current on design tools and best practices and brings forward new ideas, technologies, and approaches that can enhance the team's output.
  • Ensures accurate application of firm brand standards across all media, including proper use of the firm's logo, color palette, typography, and layout standards.
  • Prioritizes multiple active design projects (seeking input from team leadership when needed), gathers necessary information from requestors, and manages timelines to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • When necessary, coordinates with outside design firms working with the firm.
