About The Position

As part of a newly developed sales function in the USA, this is a varied and interesting role with a lot of growth potential. You will be the `go-to` contact for your assigned sales region and manage relationships across a diverse customer base, including distributors, contractors, and architects. The Business Development Executive is primarily responsible for executing sales processes and company objectives that drive sales growth by managing relationships internally and externally. Collaborate across the team to deliver sales targets and continued growth. The Business Development Executive reports to the Business Development Executive Team Leader.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Sales and/or Business Development, ideally within the construction industry and dealing with end users, dealers, architects & contractors
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome objections, negotiate positive outcomes and present positive image of the company
  • Able to demonstrate ability to achieve objectives and exceed expectations
  • Able to collaborate in team selling environment
  • KPI and target driven
  • Willing to learn and develop and bring a 'Can do' attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Proven ability of meeting and exceeding internal and external stakeholder requirements
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change
  • Able to work on your own initiative

Responsibilities

  • Engage prospective clients through the development of targeted sales plans
  • Disciplined and effective use of CRM and sales process methodology
  • Manage sales inquiries/leads
  • Make introductory calls to new prospects
  • Generate quotes and convert to orders
  • Proactively engage existing clients to provide business updates & generate new enquiries
  • Host AIA presentations with architects
  • Arrange samples, technical or marketing information as requested for customers
  • Have a good knowledge/grasp of all target sectors
  • Follow specific campaigns as set by marketing team leaders
  • Continually develop Industry and market knowledge
  • Strong product knowledge
