About The Position

The Business Development Executive is fully accountable for territory performance, developing and executing localized growth strategies aligned with JB’s Food Service Distribution objectives. This role involves driving new end-user conversions through active engagement with assigned food service distributors (1st-tier, 2nd-tier, and independent partners) and collaborating with distributor area managers, district sales managers, and COP specialists to identify targets and execute joint growth plans. The Executive will strategically partner with JB’s broker network to align opportunity prioritization and field activity, coordinate execution plans, and maximize distributor leverage. Key responsibilities include conducting live, in-restaurant product demonstrations, cuttings, and presentations to showcase JB products and engage operators in consultative discussions. The role also requires representing JB at distributor shows, food shows, and industry events to generate qualified leads, and maintaining a structured pipeline of opportunities with regular progress reviews with the Business Development Manager. Responsibilities

  • Maintain full accountability for territory performance by developing and executing a localized growth strategy aligned to JB’s Food Service Distribution objectives.
  • Establish priorities across distributor partners, customer segments, and product applications with a clear focus on diversifying the customer base and reducing over-reliance on any single distributor, segment, or concentration.
  • Drive new end-user conversions through active engagement with assigned food service distributors, including 1st-tier, 2nd-tier, and independent partners.
  • Collaborate with distributor area managers, district sales managers, and COP specialists to identify targets, set call objectives, and execute joint growth plans that result in incremental volume and profitable expansion.
  • Strategically partner with JB’s broker network to align opportunity prioritization and field activity with territory growth objectives.
  • Coordinate execution plans, target customers, and product priorities to maximize distributor leverage and conversion effectiveness.
  • Conduct live, in-restaurant product demonstrations, cuttings, and presentations to showcase JB products, menu applications, and operational capabilities.
  • Engage operators in consultative discussions to drive trial, menu placement, and conversion through distribution.
  • Represent JB at distributor shows, food shows, and industry events within the assigned geography.
  • Generate qualified leads and translate exposure into future pipeline and conversions.
  • Maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities with defined stages, next actions, and expected timing.
  • Document activity and outcomes, review progress regularly with the Business Development Manager, and adjust focus to ensure alignment with territory goals and annual growth objectives.
