About The Position

The Business Development Director is responsible for long-term strategic planning of the Firm’s business development strategy. Identifies and pursues new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building. Works with existing Principals to identify and respond to opportunities for business development. Cultivates and maintains relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals. Coordinates participation in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase visibility and generate leads. Collaborates with senior leadership to align business development strategies with overall business objectives and priorities. Develops and executes strategic business development plans to promote SHM Architects' services in compliance and consistency with the vision of the Firm. Analyzes market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth. Identifies, tracks, and reports on key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of business development efforts and inform decision-making. Stays abreast of developments in the architectural industry and contributes insights to inform business strategy. Recruits and manages the Business Development Department staff. Assists with other Firm duties and the marketing team as required.
