About The Position

The Business Development Coordinator will act as the first interaction between prospective customers and Spacesaver. The Business Development Coordinator will handle incoming phone calls with a friendly, customer-oriented demeanor and distribute those contacts as leads to the rest of the team. The Business Development Coordinator will require an in-depth use of our internal customer database as well as external lead generation platforms, and will be responsible for lead management, data integrity, and timely response to customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred
  • 1 + years in inside sales of B2B related sales
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Proficiency in using a CRM System (Salesforce.com [//Salesforce.com]) and the ability to identify and extract relevant data and create usable business reports
  • Must have strong reasoning abilities, sound judgment, strong listening skills, resourcefulness, and follow-through skills. Must be detail-oriented with excellent attention to accuracy.
  • Must have a strong understanding of business processes.
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to meet deadlines with appropriate attention to detail in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with small and large groups.
  • Must have a strong customer focus. Demonstrate the ability to build relationships internally and externally to the organization with a focus on meeting or exceeding service and product expectations.
  • Must be a proven self-starter (entrepreneurial) who can work independently and work on multiple projects at once, with the ability to handle interruptions well.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer inquiries by handling incoming calls, web chats, and responding to email inquiries.
  • Portray a friendly, customer-service-oriented persona in all interactions.
  • Assign all inbound and outbound leads to appropriate team members.
  • Identify new projects by reviewing construction databases and monitoring bid sites.
  • Leverage tools to create contact lists for outreach campaigns.
  • Use Salesforce to maintain a daily record of activities, document lead notes, and keep all accounts up-to-date and accurate.
  • Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of Spacesaver’s products, markets, and applications to provide high-level guidance related to available solutions.
  • Act as an advocate for change and continuously seek to improve processes.
  • Participate with the Sales and Marketing teams on strategy development and execution.
