About The Position

The Business Development Content Manager at Columbia Hospitality is responsible for managing all communication efforts related to the company's business development initiatives. This includes writing proposals, creating presentation materials for prospective owner/client meetings, and managing responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) for new properties. The role also involves creating and managing presentations, leading meetings with prospective owners, managing tradeshow and speaking engagements, and developing email marketing campaigns. The position is full-time and typically works Monday through Friday, with limited evening and weekend commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in hospitality marketing or 5+ years in a similar field.
  • Strong writing and PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to create and manage operating processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective project and personal management skills, including time management and planning.
  • Proficient with InDesign and other Adobe programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all communication efforts related to Columbia Hospitality’s business development efforts.
  • Write proposals and create presentation materials for prospective owner/client meetings.
  • Manage all steps and create all content for responses to requests for proposals (RFP) related to new properties.
  • Create and manage all presentations for business development, including a presentation library.
  • Create or collaborate with designers to create Business Development collaterals as needed.
  • Lead and participate in regular meetings with prospective owners to understand business needs.
  • Manage tradeshow and speaking engagement logistics.
  • Create email marketing campaigns and maintain consistent correspondence for Business Development.
  • Lead the development of transitional property plans and budgets.
  • Act as a marketing resource for properties during transition periods.
  • Interface with Public Relations to share Business Development news and updates.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
