About The Position

We specialize in magnesium-based mineral solutions for a wide range of applications. Our North American journey began in 1999 with the opening of our office in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis. From this base, we serve customers across the U.S. and Canada, providing high-quality raw materials for animal and plant nutrition, as well as industrial, construction, and refractory applications. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to help drive the growth of our Cement & Construction (C&C) product lines across the North American market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of commercial acumen, technical understanding, and exceptional relationship-building skills. This role focused on analyzing market opportunities, securing new business, and managing the sales lifecycle from prospect to long term customer. This role offers incredible foundational experience for anyone looking to build a long-term career in our industrial minerals business unit. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration
  • Record of Business internships, preferably within the chemical, construction, or raw mineral industry. Ideally with a history of working in the cement industry.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and translate it into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities for professional purposes.
  • Willingness to travel (25-50%) for client meetings, tradeshows, and market development activities.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the raw minerals industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities to significantly expand our market presence for C&C product lines throughout North America.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients to introduce our product offerings and supply solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis of industry trends, including technical advancements, competitor activity and regulatory shifts.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the C&C landscape to effectively position our products and solutions.
  • Negotiate and close commercial contracts to secure long-term supply agreements with customers.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to qualification of our product(s) and sales contract signings. As well as post-sale account management, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities including customer interactions within the company's CRM system.
  • Support and participate in the market promotion of our product offerings at applicable industry tradeshows, conferences, and fairs.
