Position Summary gener8tor is seeking a full-time Business Development Associate to support revenue growth through research, prospecting, and proposal development across the U.S. accelerator, venture, and entrepreneurship ecosystem. This is an internally focused role designed for an organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys supporting the business development process and helping move opportunities forward. The Associate of Business Development will assist with identifying potential partners, conducting market research, preparing outreach materials, and supporting the development of proposals and presentations. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is interested in venture capital, startups, and ecosystem development, and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role reports to the SVP of Business Development and works closely with directors, partners, and program teams to support gener8tor’s business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience conducting research and synthesizing information into concise summaries.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, CRM tools, and presentation software.
  • Interest in startups, venture capital, entrepreneurship, or economic development ecosystems.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential partners, sponsors, and clients across corporations, economic development organizations, universities, foundations, and government entities.
  • Conduct market and ecosystem research to support new business development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain prospect lists, including contact and email harvesting.
  • Prepare research summaries and briefing materials on potential partners.
  • Assist in preparing partnership proposals, sponsorship materials, and pitch decks.
  • Customize presentations and materials for specific partnership opportunities.
  • Compile program data, impact metrics, and case studies for use in partner materials.
  • Maintain accurate records and contact information in CRM systems.
  • Track pipeline activity, outreach progress, and opportunity status.
  • Support preparation of business development materials, follow-ups, and internal reporting.
  • Project manage reach outs and outcomes on sprints, campaigns, etc.
