About The Position

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world. We are looking for a Business Development and Admin Officer to pursue and secure business opportunities in Guam. You will work onsite and play a critical role in understanding and leveraging redevelopment plans in key military and strategic locations, including redevelopment projects, and actively pursue resulting business opportunities. You will serve as the primary point of contact for government, military, and industry stakeholders, promoting Planate’s capabilities, supporting business development efforts, and providing administrative coordination for operations in Guam.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, business administration, engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Business Development.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a relevant sector.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously in complex, variable, and foreign environments.
  • Knowledge of local industry standards, compliance, and approval processes.
  • Strong proposal writing skills and ability to identify business opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other PC-based software.
  • Possess a valid Guam or regional Motor Vehicle Operator License.
  • Hold a current and valid passport with the necessary work permits for Guam.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and foreign government officials, military personnel, and industry partners.
  • Promote Planate’s core skills, capabilities, and values to stakeholders.
  • Understand Guam’s industry standards, compliance requirements, and approval processes.
  • Prepare proposals, plans, documents, and presentations to support business opportunities.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to customers using all Planate resources.
  • Travel extensively within Guam, surrounding areas, and as required in the region.
  • Identify additional business opportunities beyond Planate’s core capabilities, including consultancy roles.
  • Provide monthly updates to the Planate Business Development Support Unit.
  • Assist with administrative support and coordinate activities for Planate employees visiting Guam.
