Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in business development, market research, strategic planning, or related roles, preferably in the direct reduction, chemical, or steel industry.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead projects to completion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and assess new business opportunities that align with the company's growth objectives.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of comprehensive business plans for new opportunities, including identifying key business drivers and competitive advantages.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, customer needs, and industry trends.
  • Analyze market data and competitive intelligence to develop actionable insights.
  • Conduct financial analysis to project revenue, expenses, and profitability for proposed business initiatives.
  • Develop financial modeling, including forecasting and return on investment (ROI) assessments to support decision-making.
  • Assess potential risks associated with new business opportunities and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with Sales to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and sales material.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to upsell or cross-sell to existing Global Solutions clients.
  • Support the Director of Global Business Development with the development and refinement of business strategies and action plans.
  • Regularly present progress reports and insights for ongoing business development initiatives to senior management.
  • Identify new areas for growth, exploring potential partnerships and alliances.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to foster collaboration and support the execution of business plans.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and foster potential partnerships.
