About The Position

The Business Development Analyst plays a critical role in supporting revenue growth by combining advanced analytical capabilities, AI-driven research, and high-impact marketing skills to support complex sales pursuits. This role is responsible for analyzing market and customer data, reviewing and responding to detailed RFP's, and developing compelling, customer-facing proposals and sales materials. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in leveraging AI tools to gather, synthesize, and analyze publicly available and proprietary information; translating insights into clear, persuasive proposals aligned with the expectations of large, sophisticated enterprise clients—primarily Fortune 500 organizations. As such, this role will be a catalyst for shaping Envita's transformative AI strategy. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex environmental service offerings in a concise and compelling manner.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales operations, proposal management, or a related analytical role.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools and data platforms to conduct research, analysis, and content development.
  • Strong experience reviewing and responding to RFPs, RFQs, and complex bid documents.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to executive-level and procurement audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, ESG reporting, and corporate environmental goals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large, multi-site, enterprise-level customers (Fortune 500 preferred).
  • Background in marketing, proposal strategy, or sales enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced AI tools and data sources to gather, analyze, and synthesize market intelligence, customer insights, competitive positioning, and industry trends within environmental services and waste management.
  • Conduct account and prospect research to support strategic sales pursuits, including understanding customer sustainability goals, operational requirements, and procurement expectations.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify growth opportunities and support go-to-market strategies.
  • Review complex RFPs, RFQs, and bid documents; analyze requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance obligations.
  • Develop high-quality, customer-focused written responses that clearly articulate value propositions, technical solutions, pricing narratives, and differentiators.
  • Coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders (operations, supply chain, legal, business integration, compliance) to produce complete, accurate, and compelling submissions.
  • Ensure all proposals align with prospect expectations, corporate branding, and messaging standards.
  • Create professional, executive-level customer-facing materials, including sales presentations and pitch decks, proposals and bid responses, case studies, capability statements, and solution overviews.
  • Translate technical and operational details of waste management and environmental services into clear, benefit-driven messaging.
  • Continuously refine content using feedback, performance outcomes, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity data, contacts, and activities in Salesforce and other CRM systems.
  • Leverage AI, CRM, and productivity tools to improve efficiency, content quality, and insight generation.
  • Support the development and improvement of proposal processes, templates, and knowledge libraries.
