A Day in the Life as a Strategic / Business Development Administrative Assistant This role focuses on managing departmental functions and facilitating key strategic initiatives to ensure high-level legal strategy remains the priority. You will act as a proactive professional who utilizes modern tools, including AI, to streamline communications and identify patterns to improve workflows. Throughout the day, you will serve as the primary point person for organizing, filtering, and tracking incoming legal requests from internal stakeholders. You will balance legal compliance tasks with fluid strategic planning and advocacy support, ensuring that legal and broadband advocacy priorities are managed effectively for the team. This role can be remote with availability to travel as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a legal administrative, executive assistant, or operations-focused role.
  • Software Proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • AI & Modern Tooling Experience using AI (e.g., Gemini) to enhance drafting speed and research efficiency.
  • Notary Public Commission or a willingness to obtain one within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Exceptional Written Communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence that matches an executive tone.

  • Previous experience with contract management software implementation.
  • A background in regulatory tracking or paralegal-level drafting.
  • Unwavering integrity when handling attorney-client privileged information and sensitive strategic data.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation and refinement of internal strategic communications, reports, and leadership presentations.
  • Utilize Gemini to generate initial drafts for letters, formal correspondence, and memos to increase efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain a centralized contract management system and oversee the end-to-end signature process.
  • Maintain a master library of standardized responses, legal templates, and executed agreements.
  • Track departmental requests to identify trends and implement improved processes to increase team-wide efficiency.
  • Provide high-level administrative support for industry advocacy efforts, including organizing materials and preparing drafts of testimony.
  • Maintain a Notary Public commission and assist in document organization for discovery requests or litigation.
