About The Position

Robert Half Italy is a leading company operating in the field of recruitment, personnel selection, and project management within the IT and Engineering sectors. It is authorized for permanent employment agency services under Ministerial Authorization Prot. No. 0000095 dated 03/08/2018. For an IT services company working on scientific research projects based in Italy and in the US, we are looking for a: Business Developer (US citizens) You will: • Generate and close new opportunities with Universities, Research Centers, and Cultural Institutions across the United States. • Independently run outbound and inbound business development campaigns to acquire new clients and contribute to market expansion in North America. • Manage the full sales cycle through our CRM, working closely with Marketing, Pre-Sales, Technical Teams and Key Partners. • Identify, qualify, and nurture opportunities, supporting prospects in understanding the value of our solutions. • Build and strengthen relationships with institutional stakeholders, navigating procurement processes and negotiating agreements. • Provide strategic insights on market trends, competitors, and customer needs to support the company’s US growth plan.

Requirements

  • You have 5–6 years of experience in commercial roles in the IT / digital solutions industry, ideally within SaaS, Open Source, EdTech, or ResearchTech sectors.
  • Experience engaging with Universities, Research or Cultural institutions.
  • You are fully able to manage a deal from initial outreach to closing, autonomously gathering and evaluating relevant information.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
  • You are comfortable driving negotiations toward successful and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you can confidently present solutions to institutional stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple opportunities at different sales stages.
  • You know the main sales methodologies and funnel optimization techniques appropriate to the industry.
