About The Position

Nat-Su Healthcare is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to play a pivotal role in advancing our mission and business. The Business Development Director oversees the implementation of business objectives among the company’s marketing and business development professionals. This individual will oversee all areas of the Business Development department, the Admissions Department, and our social media. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Operations: Provide leadership and strategic oversight for multidisciplinary teams across Business Development, Marketing (including Digital Marketing), and Admissions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, service delivery priorities, and community needs. Collaborate with executive leadership to support organizational planning, operational decision-making, and growth initiatives across behavioral health and primary care programs. Participate in fiscal planning, budget development, and financial stewardship for business development and marketing operations, aligning resources with public health impact and organizational growthobjectives. Leadership, Team Guidance & Performance Management: Providedirect leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day guidance to Business Development, Admissions, andMarketing staff, ensuring clarity of roles, expectations, and performance standards. Set strategic direction for BD& Marketing initiatives by translating organizational goals into actionable outreach, partnership development, and market expansion strategies. Coach and support team members in relationship-building, referral management, territory planning, and professional development. Monitor individual and team performance using KPIs, dashboards, and routine check-ins; providetimelyfeedback, problem-solving support, and corrective guidance as needed. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and mission-driven team culture that supports staff retention, growth, and high performance. Admissions Oversight & RTC Intake Operations: Provide strategic and operational oversight of day-to-day admissions functions for Residential Treatment Center (RTC) services, ensuringtimely, ethical, and clinicallyappropriate intake. Guideadmissions staff through the full intake lifecycle, including referral receipt, application review, clinical coordination, authorization processes, scheduling, and client arrivallogistics. Monitor daily admissions activity, census levels, and referral pipelines to support capacity management, continuity of care, and organizational sustainability. Ensure admissions workflowscomply withMedicaid requirements, billing standards, and organizational policies, with a focus on documentation accuracy and timeliness. Identifyand resolve bottlenecks in admissions processes, implementing workflow improvements to reduce delays and improve referral-to-admit conversion rates. Utilize admissions data and KPIs to forecast demand, evaluate performance, and inform outreach and business development strategies. Provide guidance on complex cases, high-acuity referrals, inter-facility transfers, and coordination with detox, criminal justice, and hospital partners. Ensure trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered practices are embedded throughout admissions, particularly for American Indian/Alaska Native and other underserved populations. Data, Quality Improvement & Performance Management: Utilize data analysis, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to evaluate departmental performance and inform strategic decision-making. Lead and support continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance referral conversion,admissionsefficiency, patient access, and serviceutilization. Monitor outcomes related to outreach effectiveness, partner engagement, and program growth to guide ongoing improvements. Partnership Development & Community Engagement Provide strategic oversight and guidance for relationship-building with tribal governments, healthcare providers, criminal justice agencies, public health departments, and community-based organizations. Support BD staff in cultivating,maintaining, and expanding high-impact partnerships and referral networks. Represent the organization in high-level meetings, negotiations, and community engagements as needed. Marketing & Digital Marketing Oversight: Provide executive oversight of Marketing and Digital Marketing teams, ensuring strategies support admissions goals, serviceutilization, and organizational growth. Guidethe development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, digital outreach, social media, website content, and promotional materials. Ensure marketing strategies are data-informed, audience-specific, and aligned with real-time admissions capacity and program priorities. Ensure all marketing and digital content reflects health equity principles, cultural responsiveness, trauma-informed messaging, and ADA accessibility standards. Collaborate with marketing staff to evaluate campaign performance using analytics and adjust strategies accordingly. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with clinical leadership, operations, and administrative teams to streamline processes, improve care coordination, and support integrated service delivery. Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and organizational alignment. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team development skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertisein healthcare business development, marketing and digital marketing strategy, and partnership cultivation.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid reimbursement models, value-based care, and public health systems.
  • Experience with data analysis, KPI tracking, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health equity, access to care, and culturally responsive service delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • Proven experience in business development within the healthcare or behavioral health sector.
