Our People are Bold, Authentic, Purposeful and Inspired Our People are not Perfect, Traditional, Complacent or Cautious About the Role We are seeking a strategic Intern - Business Data Analytics to support our data-driven decision making as we scale toward IPO. This role will serve as the analytical engine behind Cover Genius's continued growth, reporting directly to the CFO and providing critical insights across our global operations. Requirements

  • At least one or two years experience in business analytics, or working with huge amounts of data, ideally in fintech/insurtech/technology companies.
  • Advanced skills in SQL, BI tools, and financial analysis in Excel is a must.
  • Exposure to datasets, Python and AI/ML tools.
  • Comfortable working directly with different stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the financial metrics, unit economics, and profitability levers.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to distill complex analyses into clear insights for executives.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field including data science, data analysis or software engineering
  • A postgraduate degree and/or record of academic achievement is also desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data-driven insights on revenue drivers, and unit economics
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and models to support board reporting, investor relations, and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure Finance has access to clean, reliable data and be able to analyze the business performance and financial data.
  • Review and analyze the data reports and trouble shoot issues with the dashboards and data in different systems.
  • Analyze actuals to forecasts in detail at the unit level and propose actions.
  • Partner with accounting, financial planning, and commercial teams to improve forecasting, scenario planning, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure consistency, transparency, and auditability of data used in financial reporting.
