About The Position

University of Utah IT ( UIT ) Partner Relations department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our Partner Relations team and play a pivotal role in our ongoing IT security uplift initiative. As a Business Analyst, your primary responsibilities will be to provide end-user support, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all university colleges, departments, and labs are compliant with the latest security standards. You will also oversee a team of interns, providing guidance and mentorship as they assist in the uplift process.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
• Two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide technical security uplift support to partner organizations
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues identified with the uplift effort
• Deploy security applications to the target environments
• Document technical issues and resolutions with the uplift
• Provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to a team of interns assigned to the uplift effort
• Train interns on security best practices and IT procedures.
• Coordinate with other IT staff to ensure a seamless security uplift process.
• Other partner relations duties as assigned
