Required: Availability to work 100% of time at the Client’s site in Austin, TX (required); Hands-on experience as a business data analyst in the Information Technology industry, demonstrating strong analytical and documentation skills. (8+ years) Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to analyze complex data-driven business problems and recommend actionable solutions. (8+ years) Experience designing and optimizing data workflows and data management processes using modeling or mapping tools. (8+ years) Well-versed in writing Epics and User Stories, including acceptance criteria, to effectively communicate functional and non-functional requirements to development and quality assurance teams (8+ years) Experience creating and maintaining data-related documentation including data dictionaries, business requirement documents, and data mapping specifications. (8+ years) Experience designing and presenting visual data models and dashboards to communicate trends, performance, and project timelines. (8+ years) Demonstrated ability to lead data-focused meetings and interviews, document outcomes, and drive resolution of data-related issues. (8+ years) Preferred: Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted. Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple data projects or assignments concurrently. (4+ years) Working knowledge of eligibility rules for SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF programs, with experience interpreting and applying state and federal guidelines. (3+ years) Proven experience interpreting and applying policy within an integrated eligibility case management system. (3+ years) Prior experience in leading and coordinating JAD sessions. (3+ years) Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Understand business objectives and problems, analyze current procedures and data flows, and identify alternative solutions with cost ‑ benefit analysis (including automation opportunities). Elicit, analyze, and document current ‑ state and future ‑ state business requirements; translate complex business needs into Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria for development and QA teams. Design and optimize data workflows, mappings, and management processes; develop data dictionaries, mapping specifications, and visual data models/dashboards to support decision ‑ making. Lead and facilitate data ‑ focused workshops, stakeholder interviews, and JAD sessions; document outcomes, track issues, and drive resolution of data ‑ related problems. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to align system capabilities with business objectives and to identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
