JOB SUMMARY The Business Data Analyst Level II is an integral part of the business analytics team by monitoring and communicating data trends, generating dashboard reporting, and process improvement initiatives to internal teams. The analyst regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment, while serving as an internal subject matter expert for the business processes that are measured on a frequent basis. This role is not limited to report generation, but also includes tracking data that affects enrollment, communicating the “why” to affected parties, and being proactive in seeing the “signal between the noise” in finding business solutions that reach Orbis’ strategic and financial goals. This role functions as an internal customer service specialist as well to many different roles, including C-level executives, enrollment managers, financial analysts, marketing personnel, and external clients.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of report generation
• Commitment to world-class customer service for both internal and external customers
• Ability to act independently with little supervision
• Bachelor degree required
• 2 years in an office environment preferred
• Ability to weigh the big picture against detailed parts of projects
• Strong independent problem-solving skills a must
• Desire to work with all types of roles within a company
• Ability to communicate professionally with clarity both orally and written
• Ability to self-start
• Can balance urgency of assignments, timelines
• Exhibits “Can Do” attitude at all times

• Education industry experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Data and report analysis—must possess the ability to problem solve and make recommendations based on said analysis
• Administering and maintaining Orbis’ CRM
• Provide ad-hoc reporting as requested
• Provide support for special projects as assigned by the Director of Business Analytics
• Generation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Provide business intelligence to quantitative data to “tell” the story to affected parties
• Provide and communicate potential solutions to opportunities
• Develop analytical forecasting models and ongoing trends that affect enrollment and retention
• Collaborate with Business Data Analyst I for data integrity issues to address as needed
