About The Position

SUMMARY Responsible for gathering and analyzing data to support business decisions and improve processes. Analyzes complex data sets to help make informed decisions. Works closely with cross functional teams to identify trends, generate insights and support strategic initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Gather and analyze data to support business decisionsDevelop and maintain analytic reports and dashboardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends and insightsClean and validate data to ensure accuracyDocument processes and findingsAssist in training team members on data toolsGather and analyze data to support business decisions and improve processesReview business processes related to data and identify potential operational efficienciesCollaborate in the development and documentation of benchmarking and survey processesDashboard development and displayConstruct basic to more complex data models.Provide reporting across multiple brands that have different needs for type and display of dataDocument all processes from minor to larger projects in an easy to read, step by step manualProactively contributes ideas for improvement and implements methodologies to reduce errors and maximize productivity.Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High School or GEDBachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experienceThree (3) or more years General insurance industry or related field (financial services, marketing, business-to-business customer service or call centerThree (3) or more years Prior experience leveraging Microsoft Excel and/or Access to produce reportsPrior experience with SQLCertificate in Data Analysis or similarSKILLSAbility to work productively as an individual to accomplish assigned projects in the timeframe and deadlines providedData Analysis - Access, SQL, Use of pivot tablesWork within a team an to foster teamworkExcellent time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlinesAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a constructive mannerBusiness IntelligenceSkill in gathering, organizing, analyzing, reporting and conceptualizing dataAbility to engage in effective interpersonal interaction through verbal and written communicationAbility to work within a team and to work independently#LI-GS1

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) or more years General insurance industry or related field (financial services, marketing, business-to-business customer service or call center
  • Three (3) or more years Prior experience leveraging Microsoft Excel and/or Access to produce reports
  • Prior experience with SQL
  • Certificate in Data Analysis or similar
  • Ability to work productively as an individual to accomplish assigned projects in the timeframe and deadlines provided
  • Data Analysis - Access, SQL, Use of pivot tables
  • Work within a team an to foster teamwork
  • Excellent time management skills
