About The Position

The Business Coordinator has the responsibility of managing the administrative and financial operational tasks of a business.They are responsible for all accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, preparing financial reports, and vendor/customerrelationships.TheBusinessCoordinatoristofacilitatecommunication between the Farm Manager, Corporate Office Accounting and any other department within the organization to ensure deadlines are met and projects completed.This position will work closely with the Office Services Coordinator to ensure the needs of thefarm,horseownersand corporateofficearemet andhandledwithprofessionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, accounting or finance.
  • Valid driver’s license with out restrictions that affect your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to effectively organize and plan work according to organizational needs by defining objectives,anticipating needs and priorities,identifying goals,estimating time frames and monitoring progress.
  • Ability to handle accounting functions such as customer billing, payment posting,customer account reconciliation and analysis.
  • Recognition of variances and anomalies with ability to resolve or report.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills,both formal and informal.
  • Good interpersonal skills: able to work well with a wide range of individuals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills,ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines.
  • Demonstrates dependability through good attendance and adherence to timeliness and schedules.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a varied group of individuals including company employees, customers, and outside vendors.

  • Proficientin computer skills using Microsoft Suite(Outlook, Word, andExcel)
  • Knowledge of machines and tools used in farm operations
  • Knowledge of equestrian facilities, horse stables, and farm operations.
  • Knowledge of animal behavior and breeding practices.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors including heat, cold, sun, and rain.
  • Ability to work long hours during breeding season.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • The physical demands of the job include the use of hands and fingers, reaching, bending, sitting, lifting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and driving and operating farm equipment.
  • The employee will frequently be exposed to neck flexion/extension, head/neck rotation, awkward shoulder/arm positions, and frequent and/or sustained awkward wrist positions.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently required to list up to 50 lbs. and occasionally required to lift in excess of 100 pounds with proper assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
  • Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol urinalysis and able to drive a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors,and answer and direct phonecalls.
  • Create a well-organized and efficient office environment.
  • Responsible for accounts payable,accounts receivable,billing,cutting&mailing checks,and other accounting related functions as needed.
  • Ensure all deposits,payments,and adjustments are entered into Wise Option daily and the Credits by Category report is printed as deposits are made or upon request.
  • Enter customer deposits into Sage Intaact daily.
  • Process billing in Wise Option at month end and appropriate reports given to Corporate Office Accountant.
  • Processes and maintains paperwork and other matters relating to the care and handling of company owned horses as well as client horses accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsible for preparing professional, well-constructed communicationin the form of reports, letters, memos, or emails.
  • Uses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
  • Assist in preparation for on-site facilities for events.
  • Crosstrain with all other office staff as to office roles and responsibilities.
  • Other responsibilities asassigned.
