The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting one of BCCR's programs. Working with GT stakeholders, key partners in Global Risk, Global Compliance, and enterprise coverage area owners, the Business Controls Specialist ensures proper execution of the program to meet policy/regulatory requirements and enterprise standards. The role also may also engage with Senior Leaders when escalations or program updates are required. The Business Controls Specialist may also support or execute issues management for the program, or support related risk mitigation activities, to close any escalated issues or gaps. Primary responsibilities include: ● Executing standard operating procedures to enable operational loss alignments to processes ● Reviewing data to identify potential operational losses ● Collaborating with GT owners to complete their required process activities ● Identifying, assessing, and communicating emerging issues, themes and trends ● Fluidly executing on changes to to the program or its deliverables ● Producing audit-ready governance documentation with a focus on providing clear, factual evidence to the audience ● Execute with urgency and accuracy across the team ● Escalate challenges or program concerns using a positive, collaborative mindset ● Recommend and deliver upon operational excellence geared towards simplification of complex processes/procedures and employing automation of the Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.) Manages coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams Facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline Provides status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule Works with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements Problem Solving & Communications Skills, including significant experience facilitating communication among technologists, technology managers, and non-technology managers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Well-organized and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines Detail-oriented, self-starter and ability to think and work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to identify, resolve or escalate issues in order to ensure that program timelines are met Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively collaborate with others in different locations
