About The Position

The Business Continuity Manager at WestRock will support the North America Business Continuity Program, focusing on planning, building, and executing activities related to Business Continuity Management. This role involves assessing risks, managing resiliency readiness, and ensuring compliance while seeking opportunities for process improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, operational resiliency, and risk management, particularly with ISO 22301 standards, and will work collaboratively across various business areas.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience
  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or CIS
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) preferred
  • Prior Program Management experience at 2 other Major companies is a plus
  • Knowledge of the ISO 22301 standards for Business Continuity Management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams
  • System implementation experience is a plus
  • Expert User of MS Excel, Project, Visio, Mural, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Support Business Areas with skills in Business Continuity Management and problem solving
  • Engage Disaster Recovery, IT, Cyber Security and Architecture teams with interpersonal skills
  • Ensure effective Stakeholder engagement and communications
  • Enable identification of Business-Critical Processes and Business Capability Mapping
  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis and design resolutions to address gaps
  • Provide input and governance to the Business Continuity Plans to support resiliency through business disruption
  • Make recommendations for training and improvements to processes/procedures
  • Define problems, collect facts and data, and draw valid conclusions using input from Business Areas
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers across different departments
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement based on fact and transparent metrics
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
