About The Position

The Finance Velocity Office (FVO) was created to accelerate Visa’s journey toward a world‑class finance function. The team drives finance transformation by improving operating models, modernizing processes, enabling better decision‑making, and delivering measurable impact across the enterprise. As a Business Consultant, Finance Transformation, you will support strategy execution and transformation initiatives across Finance. This role requires a strong generalist consulting toolkit, analytical rigor, and experience supporting finance‑related initiatives, operating model changes, and enterprise programs. You will partner closely with Finance leaders, program managers, and cross‑functional teams to perform analysis, manage workstreams, develop executive‑ready deliverables, and support the implementation of finance transformation initiatives. The role offers exposure to enterprise‑level transformation work and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to high‑visibility initiatives. This position reports into the Finance Velocity Office and works closely with Strategy, Finance Planning Analytics, and Finance Transformation leaders. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 2–3 years of experience in management consulting (required) with exposure to strategy, transformation, or operating model work
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to perform business process mapping and evaluate end to end operational processes
  • Strong project management toolkit, comfortable managing complex workstreams and producing high quality deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to distill complex topics into executive ready materials
  • Demonstrated ability to work across global, matrixed organizations and influence without direct authority
  • High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solutions oriented approach
  • High personal accountability and commitment to ethical standards

Nice To Haves

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Experience in Finance, corporate strategy, or financial analysis strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of Finance Transformation initiatives through structured analysis and research.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform decision‑making on finance strategy, operating model, and process improvements.
  • Identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and contribute to solution development in partnership with senior team members and stakeholders.
  • Support development of near‑ and long‑term views aligned to finance and enterprise strategy.
  • Support end‑to‑end finance process assessments, including documentation, process mapping, and gap analysis.
  • Contribute to operating model transformation efforts, including role clarity, handoffs, and standardization across Finance.
  • Assist with development of transformation artifacts such as playbooks, SLAs, roadmaps, and operating principles.
  • Manage defined workstreams or project components within larger transformation programs.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks against established timelines.
  • Support development of KPIs, dashboards, and progress reporting for leadership forums.
  • Prepare materials for steering committees, leadership reviews, and working sessions.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across Finance and partner functions.
  • Support change management activities, including communications, training materials, and adoption tracking.
  • Develop clear, compelling presentations and written materials tailored to a range of audiences, including Finance leadership.
  • Serve as a point of coordination for assigned initiatives and workstreams.
  • Support translation of strategy into execution through structured plans, deliverables, and governance.
  • Assist with business case development, benefits tracking, and performance measurement.
  • Enable leaders with timely, accurate insights to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
