The Business Consultant - Consumer is responsible for developing sales territory to meet and exceed profitability goals as defined by the strategic plan, annual sales budget, and desired levels of market penetration for overall volume, margin, and product line. This role involves achieving successful outcomes through a consultative sales process, building relationships, and providing solutions to business problems. Key responsibilities include determining customer requirements for new products and services, introducing new products, and developing new profitable business in specified markets through telephone calls. The consultant will process accepted orders, maintain accurate daily records, provide necessary follow-up, and maintain an in-depth knowledge of company products while ensuring outstanding customer service. This position requires keeping customers current with pricing and promotional information, maintaining accurate customer files, and driving to customer locations to sell products and services, establish relationships, and solve problems. The consultant must be able to think and react quickly under pressure, develop an understanding of customers, competitors, partners, business models, market sizing, and industry trends, and conduct data analyses. Utilization of sales technology, CRM, and reporting to capture sales activity is essential.
