About The Position

The Business Banking Specialist at Gesa Credit Union is responsible for providing exceptional service to commercial, small business, and municipal members. This role requires a deep understanding of business banking products and services, ensuring that members receive tailored financial solutions. The specialist will collaborate with loan officers and maintain strong member relationships, promoting treasury management services and digital banking initiatives while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional member service to commercial, small business, and municipal members.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies, and industry regulations.
  • Assist members with establishing new memberships, opening accounts, and onboarding treasury management services.
  • Support members with business banking needs such as transfers, online banking, wire transfers, and deposit account maintenance.
  • Provide backup for call center and help desk functions.
  • Cross-sell consumer products, mortgage loans, and Gesa Financial Solutions.
  • Develop and maintain member relationships through frequent follow-ups and appreciation gestures.
  • Promote treasury management services and digital banking initiatives.
  • Identify issues and provide members with value-added solutions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of member information according to guidelines.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete assigned training programs and attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved.
  • Demonstrate and support credit union values and service standards.
  • Assist the commercial department and its members with other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Attend ongoing BSA training and obtain BSA certification.
