The Business Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for cultivating, building, and managing relationships with a portfolio of small business clients to develop new business pipelines and increase BMO’s market share. This role involves applying professional consultative sales and business development practices, identifying opportunities, and referring clients to BMO colleagues as appropriate. The manager will proactively develop and execute sales strategies to attract new business clients and expand existing relationships, leveraging internal and external networks. Key aspects include generating appointments, developing and executing a business plan for customer retention, identifying prospective customers, and cross-selling products and services. The position requires building client rapport, understanding local markets, and delivering exceptional customer service by providing expertise and responsive support. The manager will also answer inquiries, offer financial solutions, resolve issues, and make recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs. Additionally, the role involves providing guidance on solution implementation, analyzing data, monitoring performance, coordinating database management, and participating in change management activities. The manager must adhere to security and safeguarding procedures, maintain confidentiality, identify risks, and apply the bank's Risk Management Framework.
