About The Position

The Business Banking Relationship Manager at Webster Bank is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of business clients, focusing on new business development, client acquisition, and retention. This role involves executing the bank's segment strategy to contribute to net deposit growth, loan production, and revenue expansion while ensuring an excellent client experience through collaboration with bank partners.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Business Banking Relationship Management sales experience.
  • 5+ years of managing relationships in a banking environment.
  • Understanding of treasury management products and services.
  • Experience in business/commercial credit and financial analysis techniques.
  • Proven track record in business development and commercial loan origination.
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to grow a sales pipeline.
  • Commercial lending experience with the ability to analyze and present financing opportunities.

  • Advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor's, and/or Master's) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and grow a portfolio of business clients within the target segment.
  • Manage existing business relationships with a focus on new business development and client retention.
  • Execute against targeted growth goals for New to Bank Business Relationships, Deposit Growth, Loan Production, and Overall Fee Income.
  • Develop and maintain a network of business contacts and referral sources to generate new business relationships.
  • Work closely with team members and cross-line colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience.
  • Source opportunities and present effective credit proposals for consideration.
  • Identify and cross-sell treasury management solutions to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
